|Motivation:||While casting about for ways to turn my photography hobby into a source of income, it occurred to me that some of my photographs might make good jigsaw puzzles.|
Jigsaw puzzles are a hobby and a source of relaxation for millions of people world-wide and there are thousands of designs to choose from, as well as several companies that will turn photographs into puzzles.
Because there are thousands of puzzle designs to choose from and the option to have photographs turned into personalized puzzles, one might think that the field is over-crowded and there isn't room for another puzzle. The purpose of this page is to find out what level of interest there might be for my photographs as the basis for a puzzle.
If procurred from the most likely source, each puzzle would be 285 pieces and measure 12" x 16.5" when assembled. At likely production volumes each puzzle would cost between $20.95 and $24.95 plus shipping.
Clicking on the thumbnail will open a page in a new window displaying the image with a puzzle overlay . This will give you an idea of how the puzzle will look and can be used to get an idea of the difficulty of the puzzle. In order to gauge the market, I'm asking visitors to select the puzzles they like in the 'Select' column by clicking in the check boxes. The only information recorded is the specific selections, plus whatever comments you might have. I would appreciate comments from experienced puzzle fans on their opinions of specific image suitability for a puzzle and degree of challenge. Thanks!
